Uma
(b. 1950) spent several years in a variety of professions from teaching to journalism before turning to the field of psychotherapy and community building.A large part of her training has been in Switzerland, under the guidance of Dr. Samuel Widmer, a well known psychiatrist living near Solothurn. In the last few years she has been helping to conduct workshops combining music, meditation and dialogue towards self awareness.Her aim is to form links with people who are interested in living in peace and working with them to heal the wounds that human beings have been inflicting on themselves and each other for centuries - through first of all, working on issues at the individual level.
Dwight
b. 1968) is a banker turned sprout farmer with a passion for Beethoven – and for “ the truth.” Dwight has run music appreciation classes in Bombay for the British Council, is good at fixing light bulbs and other household items(!) His readiness for honest dialogue, his weird sense of humour and his talent for sitting still, make him, altogether, a good companion. Dwight currently lives in Toronto where apart from helping out in a health food store, he also conducts informal groups based on music and dialogue about relationships and the world.
George
(b1951) George left his training for the priesthood to pursue his spiritual calling in an allied direction though unrelated to the church. A graduate in sociology and philosophy, he entered the field of human resources in which he has now worked for over 20 years. He currently conducts workshops for organisations in different areas of management such as Learning and Competency Building, Mentoring and Coaching, Performance Management, Facilitating Group Processes, Team Building and Personal Effectiveness. George is an excellent cook– Kerala cuisine being his forte! Always ready to give lessons in the kitchen as well.
Ayse (pronounced Ayesha)(b. 1951) was born in Turkey and immigrated to Germany with her parents at the age of ten. Ayse, efficient housewife and equally efficient executive assistant in a successful business concern, has trained in community building rituals with psychiatrist Samuel Widmer. She runs groups for people interested in self awareness, in Cologne. Ayse is a fan of India and has been, since her first visit to the country in 1995. She is keen to work with her friends in India, both in terms of assisting at workshops and providing support through email.
Chandran(b 1960) A graduate in science and management, has had over 16 years of experience in industry, most of it in Human Resources before striking out on his own. He has been actively involved in personal growth related areas for nineteen years and is a trained practitioner in Human Process Work. He is also currently undergoing training as a counsellor and psychotherapist. Chandran is interested in healing, learning, growth and development in individuals, groups, institutions and larger communities. Very interested in nature through activities ranging from amateur astronomy to trekking to scuba-diving and permaculture.
